An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
